Have a question?

Every one of our products are designed, printed, and manufactured in house, locally in Alberta, Canada. That means that our Canadian made products are created with materials of the highest quality and craftsmanship, and every item is inspected by our staff before ever leaving our door.

Our goal is it ensure our customers are completely satisfied with the quality, durability, and longevity of the products they receive.

Once artwork is approved, we endeavor to have your order printed and shipped within 5-7 business days. Larger orders may take longer, and we will notify you if that is the case, but more often orders are shipped within a week.

All of our custom printed products are done so using the sublimation printing process. In order to ensure your artwork is printed clearly, we ask you to provide us with your logo/artwork in vector (.eps or .ai) format. Other vector formats can be reviewed on request. We also ask that you provide us with the Pantone numbers of any of the colors that appear within your artwork for color matching.

All of our custom printed products are done so using a 4 color (CMYK) sublimation printing process that can print as close as possible to specific pantone colors.

Sublimation printing is superior to screen printing in a number of ways. Screen printing, while still used in cases such as clothing, is considered “old technology” in the industrial signage world. Screen printing is a stencil method of print making in which a design is imposed on a screen of polyester or other fine mesh, with blank areas coated with an impermeable substance. It is also known as silk-screen, screen, serigraphy, and serigraph printing. One color is printed at a time, so several screens must be used to produce a multicolored image or design, often increasing the cost of print as colors are added. As the ink is dried onto the surface of the fabric, there is no guarantee that a print is true to color, and over time the image can discolor and/or peel away from the surface.

Sublimation printing is a technique that uses heat sensitive inks. These inks turn into gas under the influence of heat and combine with a 100% polyester medium. Since the ink becomes part of the structure of the material, the images on the fabric are crisp, clear, and true to color. Most importantly sublimation printed products don’t fade or crack – even after extended exposure to the elements. As this is a digital process it also means that there is no added cost for any number of colors your logo may contain.

Grommet windsocks are known as the traditional style of windsock, these socks have grommets at the opening which are then attached to a steel frame with tie -raps or rope. Although still offered by Vindicator products, these windsocks do not endure the same type of durability that the Vindicator windsock provides.

The Vindicator is a windsock that is attached to specially in-house designed composite frame. This is our most popular product and we are the sole manufacturer of the Vindicator composite frame windsocks. This style windsock is permanently fixed to its frame and in turn is more durable, more resistant to tearing, and last much longer than its steel framed counterpart. This style of windsock can be used in traditional applications but also comes with an extension piece that can erect part or the entire length of the windsock in all wind speed conditions. The trade off in function allows for improved advertising where this isn’t a need to measure wind speed, as result could be used interchangeably with a flag as a powerful advertising tool. The Vindicator is available in a number of sizes and styles, please visit our product pages to find out more.

Our Airport grommet style windsocks are built to conforms to US and Canadian regulatory standards.

Our Vindicator composite frame windsocks are designed according to FAA and Transport Canada’s regulatory standards specified in section 5.1.1 and built according to the Figure 5-1 specified in section 5.1.1.5 and operate as follows:

“Per Transport Canada standards: a 15-knot (28 km/h; 17 mph) wind will fully extend the wind sock, a 10-knot (19 km/h; 12 mph) wind will cause the wind sock to be 5° below the horizontal, a 6-knot (11 km/h; 6.9 mph) wind will cause the wind sock to be 30° below the horizontal.”

Section 5.1.1.5 above specifies for a 30″ x 12′ windsock. Our 30″ x 12′ windsock adheres to this, remaining smaller sizes are scaled down accordingly, however, have not been wind tested for sensitivity.

Many think of windsocks as the orange and white striped identifiers you see at the airport, and they aren’t wrong.  Windsocks are widely used at airports and at chemical plants where there is risk of gaseous leakage and exposure to environment and population ( nearby towns, cities).  They also have many more functional benefits and extend to other industrial and commercial applicationsMany think of windsocks as the orange and white striped identifiers you see at the airport, and they aren’t wrong.  Windsocks are widely used at airports and at chemical plants where there is risk of gaseous leakage and exposure to environment and population ( nearby towns, cities).  They also have many more functional benefits and extend to other industrial and commercial applicationsOur windsocks have been widely used and trusted by:
